Education Director Kate Heffernan discusses the theory behind “intentional sequencing” otherwise known as teaching to a peak. These sequences start with a pose or theme in mind and then are broken down into component parts to help make sense of complex actions in more isolated and simple ways so practitioners can gradually build the skill to bring those actions into a more difficult or demanding posture or set of postures. A practice teaching exercise follows, practice on a partner or out loud to yourself.
